Duxbury  (4-2, 3-0 PL) lost in the final of the Duxbury Holiday Tournament to Mansfield 36-40. The Dragons had a great defensive effort and were led by captain Alli Cavallo who finished with 13. Jen Peel and A. Maher each scored 14 for Mansfield.

Saint John Paul II - 24

Duxbury (4-1, 3-0 PL) defeated Saint John Paul II in the first day of this year's Duxbury Holiday Tournament. The Dragons dominated the inside with leading scorers Nicole Callander  (14), Caroline Curley (10), and Sam Brennan  (10). Duxbury will take on Mansfield who defeated Marshfield 52-47 tomorrow night.

Patriot League girls basketball 12/20/2016

Pembroke 38

Duxbury (3-1, 3-0 PL) won on the road at Pembroke. The Dragons were led by Junior captain Alli Cavallo who exploded with 20 first half points finishing with 24. Senior captain Siobhan Tierney scored all her 7 points in the second half during critical possessions to help seal the game.

Plymouth North 35

Duxbury (2-1, 2-0 Patriot) defeated Plymouth North led by Junior captain Alli Cavallo's career high 28 points along with 5 steals and 7 rebounds.  Junior Molly Norton came up with a stellar defensive effort and finished with 9 points.

Mandatory Parent Meeting 2016

Mandatory Parent Meeting – Wednesday 6:00pm 12/14

Dear Parent,
I am glad that your daughter has decided to play basketball at Duxbury High School. This letter is intended to give you some advance notice of a MANDATORY PARENT MEETING for all players on any of the three teams; Varsity, Junior Varsity or Freshman.

The parent meeting will take place at 6:00PM in the cafe of DHS on Wednesday 12/14. At this meeting the coaching staff will be there to discuss the upcoming season.

We require that at LEAST one parent and/or guardian be present. Important information will be provided to you about various rules and policies regarding the season.

Also, Three Point Club will be represented. The Three Point Club is the booster organization for DHS basketball. At the meeting you will be able, if you so choose, to become a member of the Club, advertise in our program flyer and/or place a shout out to your daughter for good luck as well. 

Again, this is a MANDATORY PARENT MEETING. Please have at least one parent/guardian attend since your daughter will be playing on one of the teams.
See you 12/14 at 6:00pm, the Duxbury High School Cafe.

Pre-Season Basketball Meeting

The 2016-2017 Pre-Season basketball meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 1st at 3PM in the GYM.

2016 Basketball Bottle Drive

This year's basketball bottle drive at the Duxbury Transfer Station will take place during the month of October.  The girls basketball program will be responsible for the last 2 weeks of October (Oct 17 - Oct 31).  The boys basketball program will cover the first half of October.

This is a significant method of fundraising for the Duxbury High School basketball programs that assists with funding of items for the basketball programs.  Please get involved to make sure this year's bottle drive is another huge success!

MIAA D2 South First Round

Duxbury's (11-11) season ended in the first round of the D2 South sectional at #1 Westwood 56-46.  Sophomore Nicole Callander led the team with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Junior captain Lill Foote (7 points) and freshman Caroline Curley (4 points, 12 rebounds) brought great energy and effort off the bench.

MIAA D2 South Preliminary Round

Duxbury (11-10) defeated Madison Park in the preliminary round of the D2 South sectional 60-23. Senior captain Emma Gill finished with 9 points and sophomore Nicole Callander and freshman Kendall Roland each added 8 points. Duxbury moves on to face #1 seed Westwood on Thursday.

Patriot League girls basketball - 2/25/2016

Duxbury (10-10, 9-7 Patriot) defeated Silver Lake at home on Senior night 50-26 and qualified for the state tournament.  Senior captain Emma Gill led the team on her night with her stellar shut down defense and finishing with 8 points.    Sophomore Nicole Callander scored 18 points with 9 rebounds.  Junior captain Siobhan Tierney and freshman Kendall Roland both added 8 points.

Duxbury (9-10, 8-7 Patriot) lost at home  to Scituate 37-36.  Sophomore Nicole Callander led the Dragons with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Senior captain Emma Gill scored 9 points with 8 rebounds. Freshman Kendall Roland finished with 9 points and 10 rebounds.

Duxbury (9-8, 8-6 Patriot) lost to Brockton at Norwell High School 40-35. Sophomore point guard Alli Cavallo led the Dragons with 12 points. Sophomore Nicole Callander added 9 points. Duxbury will play Norwell in the consolation game at 5pm on Thursday.

Duxbury (9-7, 8-6 Patriot) beat Pembroke by the final score 47-31.  The Dragons had three players in double figures, sophomore Nicole Callander (13 points, 20 rebounds), senior captain Emma Gill  (15 points, 8 rebounds ), and freshman Kendall Roland  (14 points, 10 rebounds).

Duxbury (8-7, 7-6 Patriot)  defeated Whitman-Hanson 47-38. Senior captain Emma Gill and freshman Kendall Roland led the scoring with 12 points each. Juniors Siobhan Tierney (9) and Isabel Murphy (3) played with great energy and hit big shots for the Dragons.

Duxbury (7-6, 6-5 Patriot) had a great team effort in defeating Plymouth North by the final score 48-28. Senior captain Emma Gill led the Dragons with 17 points and 5 steals. Freshman Kendall Roland added 10 points.

Duxbury (5-6, 4-5 Patriot) lost on the road in Quincy by the final score 46-42.  Senior captain Emma Gill led with 15 points and 8 rebounds. The second half comeback fell short but the Dragons got a great contribution from Izzi Murphy with 5 points, 2 blocks and 2 steals.

Duxbury (5-5, 4-4 Patriot) defeated Whitman-Hanson 53-37. Senior captain Emma Gill had a career high 17 points along with 8 rebounds on her 18th birthday. Sophomore Nicole Callander chipped in with 11 points and 6 rebounds.  Freshman Sam Brennan had a stellar defensive effort controlling the glass with 10 boards.

Duxbury (4-5, 3-4 Patriot League) defeated Silver Lake 62-36.  Freshman Kendall Roland finished with 14 points and 8 rebounds.  Senior captain Emma Gill scored 11 points and played excellent defense. Sophomore Alli Cavallo got the offense going in the first quarter with 7 points and finished with 12.
