2018-2019 Preseason Meeting

ATTENTION:

There will be a meeting for all girls interested in playing basketball this winter on Wednesday, October 31st right after school in the DHS gym.

In addition, please go to the DHS Athletics website on the winter registration page and complete the necessary information to be ready for the first day of Basketball on Monday, November 26th.

The coaching staff is excited to get back in the gym for another great season!

MIAA Division 2 South First Round

Duxbury 50 - Scituate 47

Duxbury defeated Scituate in the Division 2 South first round led by Alli Cavallo with 18 points. Sophie Thompson and Teagan Curran both added 9 points. Duxbury will travel down to Nauset in the next round.

Norwell Invitational Tournament

Duxbury 62 - Newton North 43

Duxbury  (14-7) defeated Newton North in the consolation game of the Norwell Invitational Tournament.  Teagan Curran  scored a career high 23 points, all tournament team selection Alli Cavallo had 18 points and Mel Cheal scored her first Varsity basket.

Norwell Invitational Girls basketball

Duxbury 74 - Oliver Ames 77 (2OT)

Duxbury  (13-7) lost in double OT in a great high school game to a well coached Oliver Ames team in the first round of the Norwell Invitational Tournament. Alli Cavallo finished with a career high 30 points and Sam Brennan added 10 points and 12 rebounds. Sophie Thompson chipped in with 10 points off the bench.

Non-league league girls basketball 2/18/2018

Duxbury 33 - Rockland 37

Duxbury  (13-6, 12-3 PL) lost a Non-league home game against Rockland. Nicole Callander led the Dragons with 7 points. Sam Brennan had a solid night with 6 points, 9 rebounds and Jamie Horgan added 5 with a great effort on defense.
