Duxbury Holiday Tournament - 12/28/2017

In the final of the Duxbury Holiday Tournament, Coyle & Cassidy defeated Duxbury 51-33. The Dragons were led by freshman Teagan Curran with 8 points.  Sam Hourihan led Coyle & Cassidy with 14 points all in the second half.

In the consolation game, Marshfield beat Notre Dame Academy - Hingham in overtime 52-50.

Duxbury Holiday Tournament - 12/27/2017

In the first round of the Duxbury Holiday Tournament, Duxbury defeated Notre Dame Academy (Hingham) 66-30. Duxbury had 4 players in double figures and 10 players scored.  Alli Cavallo and Sam Borjeson each scored 13 and birthday girl Sam Brennan added 12.

In the second game, Coyle & Cassidy defeated Marshfield 77-33.  NDA will play Marshfield at 4pm and Duxbury will play Coyle & Cassidy in the championship at 5:45pm.

Duxbury 56 - Plymouth South 25

Duxbury  (4-0) defeated Plymouth South  by the final 56-25. The Dragons were led by Alli Cavallo who finished with 18 points and Sam Brennan added 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Duxbury 43 - Pembroke 34

Duxbury  (3-0) defeated Pembroke behind senior captains Alli Cavallo  (17 points, 9/10 FT) and Nicole Callander  (13 points).  Caroline Curley finished with 7 points and was active on D and the boards.

Duxbury won on the road at Plymouth North led by senior captain Nicole Callander  (15 points) and junior Sam Borjeson (10 points, 11 reb). Junior Jamie Horgan chipped in with 10 points.

Duxbury was led by freshman Teagan Curran who finished her first Varsity game with 14 points. Senior captain Alli Cavallo added 13 points. Jenn Butka from North Quincy led all scorers with 19 points.

Mandatory Parents Meeting Next Week!

The coaching staff will be holding a mandatory parents meeting on Wednesday, 12/13/2017 at 6 PM at the High School Student Lounge/Breadboard.

2017-2018 Preseason Meeting

ATTENTION:

There will be a meeting for all girls interested in playing basketball this winter next Wednesday (11/1) right after school in the DHS gym. 

In addition, please go to the DHS Athletics website on the winter registration page and complete the girls basketball sign up form under sports specific information.  This will assist in gathering player information for the upcoming season.

2017 Basketball Bottle Drive

This year's basketball bottle drive at the Duxbury Transfer Station will take place during the month of July.  The girls basketball program will be responsible for the first 2 weeks of July (July 1 - July 15).  The boys basketball program will cover the second half of July.

This is a significant method of fundraising for the Duxbury High School basketball programs that assists with funding of items for the basketball programs.  Please get involved to make sure this year's bottle drive is another huge success!

Duxbury  (15-7) lost a tough game in the quarter final round of the Division 2 South sectional to #4 North Attleboro 36-33. Nicole Callander  (11) and Molly Norton (8) led the Dragons.

Duxbury  (13-6, 11-4 PL) defeated Norwell in the opening round of the Norwell Invitational Tournament.  Alli Cavallo led the Dragons with 20 points. Nicole Callander finished with 10 points and Lill Foote added 9.  Duxbury will take on the winner of the Brockton / Oliver Ames game tomorrow in the final.
